Apparently some guy stole our idea four years before we thought of it. The similarites shocked us and have shaken Dougal to his very core. He's trying to put on a brave face in this photo but he's rattled.

Dougals vs Youseff
We happened across this site on the internet. Uncanny is the only word for it.

Nice wee walk to Bondi
Check out the big massy 2km walk that we did from Bronte to Bondi on the map below. Wouldn't have headed to Bronte but for a mix-up with the buses and we'll definitely be goin back cause it's gorgeous. Bondi is good too, the most famous beach in the world apparently, nice restaurants and stacks of people um...

Sydney Tower
On an activity packed weekend we ended up going to Sydney Tower on Sunday morning. Chris ' ticket was due to expire at the end of the month so it had to be done soon. To get around this condition Dave lost his ticket so had to buy a new one. Good views as you'd expect up there. Also went on a simulator ride through Australian history and culture, it was brief but fun none-the-less. We just racked our brains and discovered we have learned only that they herd cattle with helicopters somewhere in the outback. They also have helicopter shark patrols in summer so anyone with ambitions to become a commercial helicopter pilot, like Bradley once did, should think long and hard about here. Pictures:

Dog watching at Sydney Park
Nice day on Saturday so we ventured to the nearby Sydney Park because we heard that there's always plenty of dogs. It's an off-lead park you see and a big hilly open space that's rare in Sydney. Well, boy, we weren't disappointed, Dogs a plenty, by the barrell load! One even stood on Chris' book and he was soaking! Ha Ha. Check the pictures.

APEC Weekend
We were off on Friday and we wanted to go away for the APEC weekend but everywhere was booked up. We tried Nelson Bay up north, Blue mountains - which is only 6 degrees at the minute and Wollongong in the south. We also looked up flights to Tasmania, Melbourne and Brisbane but they were all too dear.
So we ended up staying in the flat for most of the time. The city was out of bounds. We ate 3 take aways and drank a whole 4 litres of goon on Friday night trying to stay up for the Rugby. We both stayed up until after 5am (Dave until after 6) but neither of us remember much of the game. We also watched 3 films during the night to keep us awake. (Little Miss Sunshine was still hilarious and made us laugh even though it was our 2nd time seeing it)
Anyway we went to Cronulla on Sunday and walked about a bit and made dinner instead of being lazy and ordering it.
Cronulla made the press back home a couple of years ago beacuse of some nasty racist hullaballoo. It seems that these sentiments haven't exactly disappeared or maybe they're just not ashamed of it; nobody's been arsed to remove this graffiti from a wall by the beach:
We didn't know where it left us so we beat a hasty retreat to the train. Later, curious about the Cronulla affair, we did a bit of research and came across this charming piece on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TEonlHWEfuI Genius!
While we were walking along the beach we saw class surfers and weird blue jellyfish, or at least we thought they were jellyfish.
Dave's phone rang and it was Cahir and Ratzy at 4:30am Derry time (that's Chris chattin to them in the picture above!) We were so happy!!! We know you were a bit out of it but we were so glad to hear your voices. Thanks guys.
Here are some photas from the beach.

Here are some photos that we took last month that we forgot about.

CONGRATULATIONS TO MY WEE BROTHER PAUL. XOXOXOX
Surfers surfing it up big style, probably racists swine though
Young fellas skim boarding, looks like fun, roll on summer! We'll be able to lie on our holes watching people do these kinda cool activities while basking in the sun.
