It's hot, sticky, smoggy, there's people trying to sell you sunglasses and making motorbike gestures to you wherever you turn but the place overcomes it all cause it's got bagloads of character. The people are amazing, so kind and helpful and you can't turn around without seeing something unexpected or unique.
As we said it's really hot and the internet is kind of slow at times so we'll not type much but we did manage to get some pictures up.

Ho chi Min looks cracker. Reminds me of a beast of a fry-up you used to get in Lisfannon called a Ho Chi Min. You'll have to get yourself a bike but will there be helmets to fit doughal? You could always use the lid from an aerosal. N e word about Australian Visas? You'll probably be touring round all the film sites, but you'll never find Marlon Brando's cave!! Keep in touch.
Wow! Viet Nam must seem like a foreign country after Australia -- have to credit Ian Rush with that one ('I couldn't settle in Italy - it was like living in a foreign country').
Want to buy some granite or get a bathroom fitted? I'm a bit tied up with my SE Asia clients just now, but I'll fit you in asap.
